Area: Perimeter of a plane figure is the measure of the region enclosed by it. The various units of measuring area are: 1 square cm (cm2), 1 square meter (m2), 1 hectare etc…….
Perimeter and Area:
1. Triangle: Let a, b, c denote the sides of a triangle then
Perimeter= a+b +c
The pointer of a triangle is generally denoted by 2S.
2S=a + b + c
S=1/2 (a + b + c)
Area: √s(sa)(sb)(sc)
Also, Area=1/2*B*H
2. Equaivalent Triangle: For an equilateral, each of whose side is a, we have 1. Perimeter=3a
2. Height=√3/2a=√3/a*a2
3. Rectangle: For a rectangle of length =l and breadth=b we have
1. Perimeter=2(l+b)
2. Diagonal= √l2+b2
3. Area=l*b
Area of four walls= 2(l+b)*h
Square: For a square each of whose side is a, we have 1.Perimeter =4a
2. Diagonal=√2a
3. Area=a square= (side) square, Also, Area=1/2 (Diagonal) square
4. Parallelogram: * Perimeter=2 (sum of adjacent sides)
* Area= Base*Height
5. Rhombus: If all the sides of parallelogram are equal, it is called a Rhombus.
1. Sides=1/2√d1 square+d2 square
2. Perimeter=2√d1 square+d2 square
3. Are =1/2 d1d2
5. Trapezium: A trapezium is a Quadrilateral two of whose sides are parallel.
6. Quadrilateral: Area =1/2*(one diagonal)*(sum of the offset)
7. Regular Polygon: A polygon is a regular polygon if its all sides and all angles are equal.
